Sacred Music Major
Enrolling students for Fall 2026!
Answering the church’s call for evangelization through the "Way of Beauty," this college-to-career major is the only undergraduate degree of its kind in Wisconsin. The program will feature a significant internship at one of the numerous churches in the Green Bay area. The curriculum includes a course focused specifically on liturgical music called Music in the Roman Catholic Rite, along with music theory, musicianship, history, and core classes in philosophy and theology that are the foundation of every student’s experience at SNC. Students will perform in ensembles and work towards a capstone recital through applied lessons in organ, piano, and voice, as well as have the opportunity to practice on the best organ in the Green Bay area: the Casavant Freres Organ at St. Norbert Abbey. In addition, students will benefit from a wealth of mentorship opportunities: SNC is home to faculty and musicians with decades of music ministry expertise in Catholic, Lutheran, and Methodist traditions.
